Last month the NSW Government announced mobile phone ban during school hours in primary schools.
Secondary education providers will have the option to opt in on a ban or restriction of mobile device useage during school hours.

“These changes will provide clear boundaries in our schools to ensure technology remains an enabler, not a detractor,” said Premier Gladys Berejiklian in a media release from the NSW Department of Education.
